In an industry predominately made up of men there are very few female DJ's that break through. Lisa Unique has earned her position as one of the UK's premier female DJ's through her original and characteristic style which encompasses smooth vocals with firing bass rhythms in a fusion of UK Garage, R n B/Hip Hop and Breakbeat flavours.
Her reign at club nights such as Twice as Nice (who she also represented at the Miami Winter Conference and Glastonbury), Numb Numbs, Freedom, Peach, Cum Taste the Honey, Cream of Da Crop and Trinity has insured her status. Her reputation also extends across the globe with regular gigs in Singapore, Russia, Europe, India and most recently America and Sardinia. This Summer she is hosting her own night called Pure Urban at El Divino every Monday in Ibiza.
Always at the forefront of the burgeoning Urban scene she was the founder member of London's Most Wanted the first all girl Garage Group and has helped take the scene to the mainstream by playing at events such as The BBC Clothes Show Live Exhibition, The Spice Girls Concerts and The Cosmopolitan Show as well as appearing on radio shows such as Kiss Fm's Morning Glory show, Radio 4 Women's hour, Talk Radio, Radio 2 and GLR. She is currently touring the UK and abroad as part of an all female DJ crew called Urban Deck Divas.
In addition to her DJ skills Lisa is also sought after for her widely respected production talents, producing her own tracks alongside remixes for some of the world's greatest artist such as Aaliyah's 'Try Again' and Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg's 'The Next Episode'.
Lisa also finds time to pass on her DJing skills by teaching. For the past year she has been teaching for Point Blank Studios in South East London as part of their LOCN accredited DJ Course. During that time she has additionally taught various groups on behalf of Point Blank, including Pendragon School in Downham, Kent and Westminster College, Camden.
Lisa is no stranger to the headliners her previous career as a model insured she was constantly in the media. This support has continued throughout Lisa's meteoric progress within the urban music scene during the past 5 years in publications such as Loaded, Maxim, The Sun, The Daily Star, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, Time Out, Deuce, Mixmag, Muzik, 7 and more.
